HD/SD 1.5M/E DigitalVideo Switcher HVS-350HS "1.5M/E HANABI"

The HVS-350HS unit sizeis 3U. Inside is a full range of functionality. It has a large fan andefficient cooling process. Ideal for situations when unit must be setclose to operations desk or used in a quiet environment. It can also beequipped with a secondary power source for excellent redundancy(option).

A frame synchronizer function comes standard for input.This enables asynchronous signals to be switched as is. Aside fromHD/SD mixed input, installation of option board supports asynchronouspicture input, e.g. from PC. Also comes equipped with Proc Amp functioncapable of adjusting video level, chroma level, etc. of input signal.

A re-size engine (expansion) is provided on 4 of the 8standard inputs and the optional input board HVS-30HSDI. This achievesa fully mixed SD and HD environment with a switcher alone, with no needto connect an external device such as an up-converter. This isnaturally suitable for re-sizing not only SD signals but also PC video.
(The HVS-35HSDI option does not have a re-size function)

Event memory built into the unit can be used to registerevents of up to 100 patterns and remember keyer/DSK 2D DVE parametersettings, picture in picture settings and more. The equipped directrecall function lets you call up an event in one take.
The sequence function, moreover, can register up to 10 patterns. BKGDand keyer/DSK 2D DVE parameter settings, picture in picturesettings andothers can be registered as key frames.
Additionally, the HVS-35OU/35ROU have 12 user buttons, the HVS-30OU has6, and the HVS-30FP/30RU have 2, and event memory or sequence functioncan be registered on any user button.
(The HVS-35HSDI option does not have a re-size function)

The PREV or AUX monitorsettings screen can be displayed on-screen. This lets you make varioussettings while viewing the picture. Of course, stable output isguaranteed with PGM, even when the menu is on display.

Two keyer channels and 4 DSK channels come standard. Thekeyer also has a chroma key function. And since the keyer and DSK eachhave their own dedicated 2D DVE, scale effects or other 2D effects canbe individually added to them.

Cut, mix and wipe transitions can be chosen. Many wipepatterns are provided, including 100 2D wipe patterns and DVE wipeslike Page Turn. Along with wipes, effects like mosaic and defocus arealso provided.

Four still store channels are provided standard.Externally created still data can be sent to the main unit viaEthernet. Reading through USB memory is also supported when connectedto HVS-35OU/35ROU/30OU. Backup function stores data internally andallows reading of saved data after restarting power. Supported fileformats are JPEG and TGA.

A multiviewer function, capable of displays of up to 16splits, comes standard with 2 channels. Supports 4-split, 10-split and16-split display patterns. The ability to make different displaypatterns and channel settings for each ensures flexible operation.Display channels can be freely assigned, allowing assignment of notonly input source but also output picture such as PGM or PREV. Eachchannel offers title display and tally display functions.

Two channels ofdedicated Picture-in-Picture (P-in-P) circuits are provided, separatefrom the wipe effect function. The picture can be enlarged, shrunk,repositioned, cropped or given a border. Register an operation inadvance to a user button, and just that one button is all it takes tofade, slide or zoom in or out or perform other operations.
Making full use of P-in-P and keyer and DSK 2D DVE lets you displayP-in-P screen with up to 8 pictures.

External interfaces include an Editor port forconnecting to an editing machine, GPI port supporting up to 10 inputsand 20 outputs, RS-422 port for connecting an HVS-30RU, etc., ARCNETport for connecting an operation unit or AUX remote panel, and Ethernetport used during PC control.

HD/SD-SDI 8 input/8 output come standard. Support formixed input of HD and SD signal comes standard. The 8 output channelsinclude M/E PGM (1 channel), PGM (1 channel) and AUX (6 channels). AUXcan be assigned for preview or multiviewer. Inputs and outputs can beexpanded to 24 and 12 respectively. Aside from HD/SD-SDI, other inputsand outputs can be installed, including analog component, analogcomposite, DVI and RGB.

The HVS-350HS comes programmed with 5 operation styles.Choose the operation style that best fits your application andconditions. Multiple operation units can be combined.

HVS-35OU :1.5M/E Operation Unit
		This operation unit is optimized for HVS-350HSfunctions. Provides 20 bus buttons, dedicated fade levers for M/E andP/P buses respectively, 3-axis joystick, and direct buttons for variousfunctions, all in an easy to use arrangement.
The operation interface has a USBinterface. It can also be used for saving or reading still storecontent, backing up various parameters, etc. ARCNET is used forconnecting to the main unit, which enables extending the connection upto 100 meters with a single BNC cable.
HVS-35ROU :1.5M/E Rack Size Operation Unit
		An operation unit designed to rack-mounting sizewhile retaining the operability of the HVS-35OU. It has 12 bus buttons.Other buttons and functions are as in the HVS-35OU.
HVS-30OU : 1M/EOperation Unit
		This is the control panel for the 1M/E videoswitcher HVS-300HS, but it allows operation of the M/E bus of theHVS-350HS. Like the HVS-35ROU, it is rack-mountable. Though there arelimits on functions accessible from the buttons, the use of GPI and OSDfunctions together enables various operations with the HVS-350HS.
HVS-30RU :Remote Control Panel
		As with the HVS-30OU, this is a 1U size compactpanel developed for the HVS-300HS, but it comes with
authentic bus buttons on theoperating interface, a compact liquid crystal display enablingselection of wipe patterns, and major buttons such as a rotary encoder.The use of GPI and OSD functions together enables various operations onthe HVS-350HS. It can also function as the AUX remote panel of theHVS-350HS main unit.
HVS-35GUI :Remote Control Software
		Control software that is used by installing to aPC. The intuitive function window enables full control over thefunctions of the HVS-350HS main unit. Also provided are power sourceand fan status displays, a function to switch among display layouts for5 patterns, keyboard shortcuts and many other functions that softwaremakes possible. (A separate PC is required to use.)

With the HVS-350HS, you can add just the input andoutput formats you need, in just the amount needed. There are 4expansion slots for input and 2 for output. Aside from HD/SD-SDI, otherinputs and outputs can be installed, including analog component, analogcomposite, DVI and RGB.

HVS-AUX8/16/32  AUXRemote Panel
An 8-button or 16/32-button type AUX remotecontrol panel is provided. The 8-button unit is half-rack size and16/32-button unit is 1U rack size; ARCNET allows cascading connectionof as many as 5 units. With the panel extension kit, each panel can beused with a longer button interface.
